Admission Procedure
Intake for Start of New school year in September
County School Preference Forms should be completed for all applications and submitted to your local County Admissions Office.
A school application form should also be filled in, which can be downloaded here. This should be submitted to the Admissions Secretary at St Brigid’s School.
Offers will be made according to the school’s admissions criteria, and in accordance with the dates set out for admissions by Denbighshire County Council.
The admissions policies can be found by clicking on the following links:
Primary
Secondary
For Year 7 entry (first year of secondary school) we are partially selective. An entrance exam is held in the January prior to Year 6 move to secondary school in the September. The exam is based on the work they will have been studying at Key Stage 2. Pupils achieving a level 4 in this exam are then sorted using the secondary admissions criteria and offers made accordingly.
Mid term Applications
All mid term applications must be made via Central Admissions at your local County Council. They will then ascertain the reason for the requested move to the pupil’s current school and broker any preferred choices.
If you have any questions please contact the Admissions Secretary at St Brigid’s School on 01745 815228 or contact your local authority admissions department.
