St. Brigid’s School in Denbigh have excelled in the National round of the international competition, F1 in schools. It was held in London as part of The Big Bang Fair on the 15th and 16th of March in the Excel Centre.
Team Neutrino left the train station in the early hours of Friday morning and arrived in London just in time for the competition. That day we were involved in two judging rounds: talking about the pit stand display that we designed and manufactured ourselves in conjunction with our sponsorship partners and giving our presentation to judges about who we are and what we have worked on during the six months of preparation.
After a busy and gruelling day of interrogation, we returned to the hotel and had yet another very early start the next day. We were required talk to the judges about the engineering of the car and then raced it against twenty- eight other teams.
We did exceptionally well in the competition and won the ‘Best verbal presentation in the United Kingdom’ to add to their other title ‘Best Rookie team in North Wales’.
On behalf of Team Neutrino, I would like to thank every sponsor who has supported us through the competition and am appealing for sponsorship for the coming year in entering the competition again.
We will be looking forward to seeing Team Neutrino in the regional rounds at the end of this year! If anyone wishes to enquire about sponsorship, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
