We will be open tomorrow but please note that low temperatures tonight may mean that some areas of school may re-freeze and could be slippy. Pupils should wear shoes / boots or wellies that are appropriate for walking on the residual snow and possible icy patches on the ground. Please take extra care when driving into the school site and drive as slowly as possible. At the end of the day we ask that parents collect pupils and leave immediately or arrive after 3:40 to avoid the risk of accidents. Thank you for your understanding over the last few days – we have balanced the safety of staff and pupils when deciding which course of action to take.
DCC have sent us this information about school transport:
Based on assessments this morning and earlier this afternoon, we are suspending some routes and allowing others to operate. This is subject to schools being open (details progressively on DCC’s website).
Where contracts run, contractors will need to undertake their usual fluid risk assessment as to whether they can undertake all or part of the route, ensuring that learners transported in can also return.
