ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – 7 NOVEMBER 2013
The AGM for 2012/2013 was held on 7 Nov 13 and the minutes plus supporting documents are attached here. Any comments on any documents should be raised through any Committee member or through an email to ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’.
The School Association is a vibrant and active part of the St Brigid’s community. Its success comes solely through the support of parents, be it their time, skills, contacts, donations or ideas.
In the past year (up to September 2013), the School Association has made a significant contribution to the educational resources of the school. We have helped with the upkeep of the School’s IT suite and repaired the hall projector. We have funded books for Primary maths, for Spanish, and for specialist additional learning needs packages. We have paid for the annual subscription for the excellent Primary-age newspaper (‘First News’). We helped to ensure that the school signs were replaced (to better reflect the professional image of a vibrant school), as well as donating to chaplaincy and helping with the upkeep of the school grounds.
All of this is funded through three main events: The Christmas Tombola (in late November); Spring Ball (held around March); and Summer Fun Day (towards the end of Summer Term). The events take a good deal of organising, but always aim to be a great source of fun as well as funds. The support of parents is vital to our success and we are eager to hear fresh ideas and welcome new helpers.
If you would like to get involved in any way please come along to one of our regular meetings (these are publicised on the school noticeboard near to Primary School pick-up point). Minutes from all previous meetings are posted here on the school website. Alternatively contact the School Association at email@example.com. Every penny, hour or idea given to School Association is used to benefit the pupils of St Brigid’s.
